Nowadays people using VR for almost everything like gaming, watching movies etc but Oculus is going to shut down its VR movie rentals, purchases for Rift users.
From the beginning to today’s date Oculus Rift is mostly used for gaming and less for movies. Oculus sent an email to their users asking them that Rift primarily used for gaming. Hardly anyone from Rift owners seat 2 hours to watch a movie on the screen.
The movies are closing on 22nd October and 20th November is the last date till you can watch your playlist. After that, you can't be able to watch your bought or rented movies.
Oculus announced it just a few hours after the departure announcement of the Cofounder of Oculus Brenden Iribe.
For Oculus Go the VR movie store remain open. Any of Go owner can purchase movies.
